Abu Dhabi Gas appoints Fluor for Shah project

The Abu Dhabi Gas Development Company plans to complete its Shah Gas Development Project by 2014 after signing a $160m project management contract with Fluor Corporation.

The project team will include up to 110 professionals with an expected completion  date of 2014.

Fluor will act as program management consultants for the main process packages of the project and will oversee the overall program.

Peter Oosterveer, Fluor energy and chemicals group president, said: “Due to our successful ongoing business relationship with ADNOC and its operating companies, we have been successfully performing and completing oil and gas projects in Abu Dhabi for more than 35 years.

“After completing front-end engineering and design services for the Shah Gas Development program, we are pleased to be chosen as the program manager for this important upstream gas project.”
